LEARNING AND CARING FOR LANZAROTE

Lanzarote boasts a series of unique characteristics that set it apart from other tourist destinations. When visiting the island, a listed Biosphere Reserve, you must remember that factors such as its volcanic origins, its desert climate and wealth of natural resources make it extremely fragile. We all have a part to play in guaranteeing its conservation.

You will find several recycling points located around the hotel. Thank you for using them and contributing to reducing pollution and the environmental footprint. They also help us to put resources to better use and to make our services and facilities more efficient.  

Recycling points at the THB Flora hotel:

• At the hotel reception
• At the restaurant entrance
• In the main pool area (Flora 1)
• At the end of the corridor past the "Splash Park".
• Next to the laundry (Flora 2)

• Reuse pool and bathroom towels.
• Turn off the tap while using soap or shower gel, or when you are brushing your teeth or shaving.
• Remember that the toilet is not a waste bin.
• Make sure you turn off the taps properly.

• Turn off the lights when you leave the room.
• Whenever possible, take advantage of the natural light. It will boost your levels of vitamin D and save electricity.
• Take the stairs instead of the lift. You’ll get a workout almost without realising it.
• If the heating or air conditioning is on, keep the terrace door closed.

• Use our recycling corners. You’ll find them in the communal areas.
• Reduce food waste to a minimum.
• Preferably opt for products of recycled origin.
• Select materials that are more environmentally friendly and have a longer lifespan.

Here at THB hotels we have eliminated single-use plastics: single dose gels, shampoos, oil and vinegar, etc… as part of our commitment to the environment  and pursuant to the provisions of Balearic Islands Law 8/2019, of 19th February on contaminated land and waste.

So why don’t you do the same?

• When you leave our facilities, avoid using plastic straws, supermarket bags, single use cutlery, etc.
• Whenever possible, choose paper or glass packaging.
• In the supermarket, shop loose products.
